More Than Gender

I have a lifelong interest in exploring how gender shapes our daily lives and overall wellbeing. In addition to a Ph.D. in Social Science from Aarhus University (2019), I have broad experience in research, consultancy, and teaching with a focus on gender and sexuality. This experience has deepened my understanding of gender as a fluid and evolving concept.

Across diverse communities and life trajectories, understandings of gender shift and transform. To grasp the meanings ascribed to gender, it is thus essential to consider how it becomes weaved in with other aspects of our lives. In this sense, knowledge about gender is always about more than gender. On this basis, I founded Ikke Bare Køn (i.e. More Than Gender), a platform for intersectional analyses and creative knowledge dissemination.

My writing has been published in peer-reviewed journals, reports, media, and books — some of which you can find here. I have also been an active speaker, giving numerous talks on gender and sexuality to people of all ages and backgrounds, which you can soon read more about here.
